Calvert has a lot of savy when comes to hooking up a big block 4 speed car on a 9" tire...it would be interesting to see what his car would do down town.
Those cars have a triple disc slipper type clutch.......I have benched race with him and Chris Whitney about how those cars work, they don't give out a lot of info, except it has a lot to do with wheel speed verse clutch slip.......and a lot of years of racing 4 speeds. |

He had it out at Vegas over the weekend. Every time I saw it I started salivating.
The car looks and sounds great.
Jeg had his Challenger Drag Pack car out as well and didn't have much luck with tranny problems. he still made it to the 2nd round. |

We take the same approach with our quad; wheel speed vs clutch slip. |

In our conversation he told me that at the moment they are trying to be operational by July.................that will be fun to go up and help them kick off a brand new track in the area. Man its should be nice!!!
He said they will be putting down race surface in the next two weeks and the plan is to do 440' of concrete.
The track will start operation at an 1/8 mile with plans to expand it to 1/4 by the following year.
They already are a sanctioned NHRA track and plan to hold a divisional there some day.
My sincere congrats go out to the group of guys pulling this off, trust me I know just how hard they have worked and they should be very proud of bringing a new drag strip on line instead of seeing another one die off. |

| The website is definitely something to emulate, need to keep it in our heads for future use, it has all the bells and whistles. |

What "Bells and Whistles" are you talking about?? I hate that site layout.
Selling items year round would be awesome, we've talked about it over and over but have never made it work. |
