Didnt this get discussed earlier and it was decided that wasnt the case??
I mean they were not going to stop anyone other then the pro type vehicles. It was a topic talked about alot before the PSCA event in Las Vegas.
This is realy strange because Nevada is just shooting themselves in the foot if this is real............no one will race there anymore and you know the economy is so strong right now................... |

Yes it did get discussed a while back.
I just read that thread, boy have those guys got themselves all wound up. Talking about CDLs and log books, etc. Yes, some may need that sort of stuff with the long heavy trailers but a guy with a pick up and regular racer trailer should not need to.
You do not want to call yourself Commercial unless you really have to as it can open a huge can of worms including limited driving hours, log books, permits, weigh stations, etc.
Moneypit, I would not think you will be affected. The guy who started that thread has some huge truck and trailer and openly admits that he has been pulled over before. Maybe he has pissed them off a time or two? Who knows but he knew all about the permits apart from the "new" fuel permit.
If you read the .pdf file from Nevada in that thread, I think you will find you do not need a permit. Anyway, you would need to buy it before you drive over the dam into Nevada and where do you get one in Arizona?...... LOL.
Best thing to do is to get a motorhome and tow with that........ |
