Cars In Yards

Postby Bubbalinn » Fri Mar 4, 2005, 8:18 pm

This ride has been sitting in a
yard just up from my house for
a good three years now.

I wish they would move it someplace
where I don't have to see it every day.

What are these gems going for now days?

Oh my christ. I've been wanting to do this 'cars in barns' type thing for the area for a while now. There's a few Mopars rotting in fields around here. Maybe I'll snap a few with my brother's camera . . .

http://www.carsinbarns.com

It's a site where cars guys like me and you go around and take pics of cars that are rotting in yards or barns or fields or what ever. The catch it most are desirable muscle cars, old Dodge Road Runners, Cudas, Camaros, Mustangs, etc, etc. Check it out.

Ohh and my yard wouldn't count, nothing there is desirable. Dan's might count though?! :taunt:

Hey Retorq,

If you like I can start getting some yard shots.
And if so would you want them from just Kingman?

It would be a fun and heartbreaking section
to look at. That Camaro up the street kills
me to see it sitting there.

I'm not sure if it would be something
the members would want or not. That
would be for you guys to call.

I'm sure they'ld love it, looking at pics of demolished cars makes me love mine more. :D

Doesn't have to be just Kingman, any of the surrounding areas would be cool. Perhaps I'll remember my brother's cam in the AM, I'll start on this too, it might be pretty cool, could even be a cool calendar. :D

Auto Search

Postby Bubbalinn » Tue Mar 8, 2005, 10:04 am

Sounds like FUN.. I'm going to Vegas
tomorrow and will be back on Friday to
start the yard searching LOL..

Hey if anyone knows of a hot rod
sitting in the weeds just post the town
and street name, I'll find it....

I will get a better shot of the black
Camaro up the street to start with.

Hey Retorq,

How about this one from Bonnie Springs
a little ways out of Vegas for starters.

And another 58 at Bonnie Springs. This one looks used a little so it may not count ROFL...

I saw that car on top of a scrap pile at KAR last weekend!
I don't have a pic but there's an old '69 or so Road runner over off Louise in Kingman park estates. It's never moved since the late 80's that I know of. It's a shame.

There's a Cuda on Bond that looks like it hasn't moved in about the same amount of time.

Hmmm It looks like the car hunt is on.

Guess I better fire up the spy mobile and
put on the hunting lens and do some yard searching.

Javelin Find

Postby Bubbalinn » Fri Mar 18, 2005, 10:20 am

I got busy and have not made it into the
big city of Kingman but with the rain coming
I think some wet old rides might look cool.

I did find this Javelin in Golden Valley yesterday..

The Silver Bullet

Postby Bubbalinn » Sat Mar 19, 2005, 10:28 pm

Hey I got a good start on finding some
wheels in the weeds. This is easy.. Tons
of subjects that just sit there and say cheese.

I found this one and others today in Kingman.
I was going up and around Louise looking for
the Roadrunner. It must be hiding really good, I
never found it.

How about this one called the Silver Bullet....

Ahhh, the old Silver Bullet. I haven't seen that one move since my kids were in high school in the 90's.

Ya know I was driving around today with Jenn at lunch and we came across some Ford with 'DoubleTrouble' spray painted on the passenger's side. There was a Sureway sticker too, it was all primered. :?:

OK here's 4 more.

This was over on Simms, we were looking at a new house over there and captured it. the folks in the yard looked at us all wierd. :D

This is the 'double trouble' car over by Louise. It has a cookmotorsports.com sticker in the back window.

Upon closer inspection it has wrinkle wall slicks and a rolll cage.

This is that Mopar on Bond.
